The Mission of The Roxbury Annex:

The Roxbury Annex is a community based non-profit organization that provides local artists, musicians, and members of the community with a creative space to garden, eat locally grown food, create and view music and art. The Roxbury Annex will be open to the public during regulated hours and will serve its members and volunteers 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Total Art and Science.

The Roxbury Annex has emerged as a tiny seed into this community, planted by our founder and proprietor Kody Bosch, his efforts, in collaboration with other members, and community resources has continued to grow this project in a way that is responsible, productive, and encouraging in a society has so often given up on the hope of change in a world, when change, grown organically, built on a foundation brick by brick by invested and passionate hands, will thrive and blossom into an instrument of social change, and will steward and foster the creative community-

-The Roxbury Annex is a collaborative and cooperative group of persons seeking to further developments in Arts and Sciences for the benefit of the Community: human, plant, and animal alike-

We believe that by providing a venue for creation in diverse media and mode, that seemingly disparate elements can be coalesced into a productive working whole.  That each artform and branch of science has the potential to inform and influence the next in the creation of a product that is not only quality and artful, but socially and environmentally responsible-

Media such as audio, sculpture, gardening, and food production/material salvage can steward social responsibility and environmental awareness, and can effect one another for the better-

We provide a home to artists, inventors, craftspersons, and designers of diverse interests who can come under one roof and utilize our facilities, for the sake of creation in and of itself, and in the pursuit of being an environmental sustainable and socially-minded locus of creative expression. -

Roxbury has particular interest in under-privileged and under-resourced persons, who given the opportunity, would thrive in their creative careers-

It is for this reason that we offer community member access to meals from our kitchen, and a respite from the outside world, a Sort of Community Living Room, as it were –

Our Communal Kitchen and Cafeteria reaches out to the Community, making nice hot meals for the poor and under-priveleged, and offering food that we have grown from our gardens, or otherwise gleaned wholesome food that would have been disposed of needlessly had it not been salvaged.

The Roxbury Annex consists, in part, of Cooperative Artists Studios, A Gallery, Indoor and Outdoor community gardens, metal and woodworking workshops, an audio recording studio, a performance venue, and a kitchen and other resources to provide affordable meals and meet the survival needs for the low-income and impoverished-
